As noted at the end of last summer, we have steered the good ship CertMag Surveys into new waters. The annual Salary Survey remains the staple of our year-round mission to collect and analyze data about IT certification. The new normal, however,  is that we no longer ask for salary information when conducting the in-between surveys for our Spring, Summer, and Fall quarterly editions.

The first of those surveys to show up in 2018 is our Cloud Computing Certification Survey. Cloud computing technology is raining down benefits to both individual and enterprise users around the world. And there’s no change in the long-term forecast — you can expect the role and scope of cloud computing to continue its explosive growth into the foreseeable future.

Indeed, some might say that the cloudburst has only begun.

Apart from offering a wealth of weather-related puns, however, cloud computing technology is gradually impacting almost everything. If you long for the days when you could actually buy or download new software and install it on your own computer, instead of buying a monthly or yearly subscription to a web-based service, well, that’s one of the many ways that cloud computing is changing how things are done.

If you’re one of the certified cloud computing professionals who is driving that kind of change, then you’ve come to the right place. We want to find out all about your cloud certification experience. Cloud computing isn’t nearly as thick with certification offerings as some IT realms. Are certification providers still managing to get the job done?

We also want to get inside the cloud computing world just a bit and get a snapshot of what the men and women on the inside see there each day. As with last fall’s Security Certification Survey, we’re still in a bit of an experimental transition, and we hope to get better at going in this new direction.
