Agency Awards $14 Million Contract to SkillSoft

<p><strong>Nashua, N.H. &mdash; May 23</strong><br />SkillSoft, a provider of e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small- to medium-sized businesses, has been awarded a new five-year contract to support the U.S. Air Force&rsquo;s global IT training requirements.&nbsp; </p><p>Awarded by the Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA), the contract has a total potential value exceeding $14 million and reaffirms SkillSoft as a leader in the Department of Defense and federal e-learning.<br /><br />With the contract, SkillSoft provides a robust combination of in-depth courseware, fully searchable online books, learning management technology and mentoring services for up to 700,000 Air Force personnel worldwide. </p><p>The comprehensive solution supports IT certification, continuing professional education, technology rollouts and other IT education priorities while helping the Air Force meet DoDD 8570-1 information assurance training, certification and workforce management requirements.&nbsp; </p><p>Known as SkillChoice IT, the solution makes it affordable to provide Air Force personnel with powerful tools to support learning in the workplace and to keep pace with the constant changes in technology.<br /><br />&ldquo;The Air Force Communications Agency oversees a unique and challenging training environment, and we are pleased to provide them with a flexible and diverse learning solution,&rdquo; said Kevin Duffer, SkillSoft vice president of public sector and channel markets. &ldquo;This new contract continues SkillSoft&rsquo;s long-standing relationship with the Air Force and reinforces our commitment to supporting the war fighter with the best possible learning technologies.&rdquo;</p>
