Top Executives Join Stevens Institute of Technology

<p><strong>Hoboken, N.J. &mdash; July 11</strong><br />Verizon Senior Vice President Claire Beth Nogay and Ron Perkinson, Whitney International senior vice president, have joined key advisory boards at Stevens Institute of Technology. </p><p>Nogay is a new member of the university&rsquo;s Corporate Advisory Council, and Perkinson was recently appointed to the school&rsquo;s WebCampus Board of Directors.<br /><br />Stevens Corporate Advisory Council offers critical perspectives on the university&rsquo;s relationships with industry for training, education, philanthropic support and student employment. </p><p>Members are drawn from a number of Fortune 500 companies, including AT&amp;T, Consolidated Edison, Johnson &amp; Johnson, Honeywell, IBM, Thomson and, now, Verizon.<br /><br />WebCampus Board of Directors is the school&rsquo;s distance learning oversight body, responsible for the award-winning online learning unit. </p><p>In addition to Whitney International, corporate members are from ConEdison, Hewlett-Packard, Interpool and Unilever. </p><p>Others are scholars from MIT, the University of Rochester, IEEE and Stevens.<br /><br />Nogay is a key executive at Verizon Partner Solutions Complex Services Delivery, responsible for operations associated with special services. Previously, she served as vice president of Verizon&rsquo;s Competitive Local Exchange Carrier Operations.<br /><br />Ron Perkinson heads Education Development at Whitney International University System. Just before joining the company, he was principal education specialist at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group.</p>
