Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Advanced Exam
The following questions touch on topics from what is arguably the most popular of all the Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) exams: Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Advanced (CSPFA). (See Table 1 for Exam Facts.) The currently available version of this exam, #9E0-111, retires on Sept. 30, 2003 and will be replaced by exam #642-521, which debuted in June 2003. Whichever version you take, this is an interesting and demanding exam that focuses on the PIX Firewall family of products.
From configuring the firewall to managing related logging, routing and DHCP services to working with NAT and PAT, managing access control lists and URL filtering, the range of topics for this exam is both broad and deep, and is truly comprehensive. Candidates are advised to grab a good study guide and one or more practice exams to help get them ready; Cisco’s CSPFA course also comes highly recommended by Cisco itself and from those who’ve taken the class. Be prepared for the numerous simulation questions, designed to test actual skills that you will encounter on this exam!
