Tata Interactive Systems Wins APEX Award

<p><strong>London &mdash; July 18 </strong><br />Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), a global learning solutions provider, has won an APEX 2007 Award of Excellence for its game-based learning program developed for ICICI Bank.<br /><br />The ICICI Game won the award in the &quot;Education and Training Campaigns and Programs&quot; category.</p><p>The criteria for the awards were based on excellence in graphic design, content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence, said Manisha Mohan of TIS. About 4,916 entries were evaluated, with 311 in the campaigns and programs category.<br /><br />&quot;Learning through games, simulations and even virtual reality scenarios is becoming a highly popular &mdash; and most effective &mdash; way of using technology to deliver the knowledge and skills that people need in order to be more effective and efficient at their jobs,&quot; said Alan Samuel, head of TIS&#39; U.K. operations. &quot;Increasingly, our partners and clients around the world are asking TIS&#39; award-winning content developers to provide creative, engaging and motivating learning materials in these formats.&quot;<br /><br />ICICI Bank is India&#39;s second-largest bank, with total assets of more than $79 billion.</p><p>It offers a wide range of banking products and financial services to corporate and retail customers through a variety of delivery channels and through its specialized subsidiaries and affiliates in the areas of investment banking, life and nonlife insurance, venture capital and asset management.<br /><br />The award-winning program was the result of the bank commissioning TIS to design and develop a game-based learning programme for its regional processing centers (RPCs). </p>
