TalentKeepers to Present on Employee Turnover Trends at Upcoming Retail Marketing Conference
Orlando, Fla. — March 25
TalentKeepers Inc., an employee retention researcher, will present at the 2008 National Association of Retail Marketing Services (NARMS) Conference on April 12-15 in Williamsburg, Va. The presentation topic is “Fight Employee Turnover and Boost Performance: New Retention Strategies that Work.”
The presentation will include new research on employee turnover trends in the retail industry from TalentKeepers’ annual Employee Turnover Trends research study, completed in March.
“From our turnover trends report, we found that the areas most affected by employee turnover in the retail industry are lost productivity, employee morale, lost organizational knowledge, service quality and increased recruiting costs,” commented Craig Taylor, vice president of Client Services for TalentKeepers. “The presentation at the NARMS conference will cover retention strategies that attack these and other issues associated with high levels of turnover.”
“It is becoming more and more difficult for our member companies to find the quantity and quality of employees necessary to provide appropriate service for their clients,” observed Dan Borschke, president and CEO of NARMS International. “Our members’ clients do not want to worry about staff issues; after all, that is what they are paying our members for. That’s why it is imperative for our members to find and retain capable employees. We look forward to the insight that Craig Taylor and TalentKeepers will be providing at our spring conference this year.”
Founded in 1995, NARMS promotes and establishes industry standards and shares critical industry research and educational information with its 515 member companies servicing such classes of trade as grocery, drug, department stores, home and building centers, computer and office supply, electronic, value retailers, specialty and convenience retailers. Members gather at two conferences each year: the spring conference/annual meeting in April and the IFBA Top-to-Top Conference in May.
