SumTotal Wins Contract to Provide Software
<p><strong>Mountain View, Calif. — June 6</strong><br />SumTotal Systems Inc., a global provider of talent and learning management solutions, has received a contract from Northrop Grumman Corp. to provide San Diego County with TotalLMS, a learning management system (LMS) that will deliver and report on certification and regulatory requirements for the county's approximately 17,000 employees. </p><p>TotalLMS delivers, tracks and analyzes online education via the Internet.<br /><br />The SumTotal deal is one part of a larger contract San Diego County awarded in 2006 to Northrop Grumman to administer information technology and telecommunications services, including data center, help desk, desktop, network, applications and cross-functional services.<br /><br />"We believe SumTotal's system will be fundamental to underpinning the management of the county's compliance efforts," said James Gill, SumTotal director of government solutions. "We're honored that Northrop Grumman chose SumTotal's platform for the delivery, analysis and management of the county's regulatory and certification training."<br /><br />San Diego County is the nation's fourth-most populous county. It has an annual operating budget of more than $4 billion.</p>
