Sunrise, Fla. — June 6
Learn.com, a provider of on-demand workforce development and productivity, has announced that the State Auto Insurance Cos., a regional property and casualty insurance group with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, has selected the Learn.com LearnCenter platform to gain a competitive advantage by providing on-demand training to corporate employees.

State Auto sells its products through about 3,300 agencies in 29 states. The company sells property and casualty policies through several subsidiaries, writing personal and commercial automobile, homeowners, commercial multiperil and workers' compensation insurance.

Before the LearnCenter platform, training involved almost completely manual, paper-based processes.

The company desired to become a “learning organization” and was looking to build a foundation with a leading talent management system.

State Auto is focused on performance management and envisions the LearnCenter platform as a tool to help the company build its skill gap analysis and competency testing across the organization for strategic advantage in a competitive marketplace.

“We've very much enjoyed our association with Learn.com," said Jim Dooley, manager of employee training. "Obviously, the LearnCenter platform is an incredibly robust product. At the same time, it's only as good as the people behind it. That has been a strong point for Learn.com. I

"'ve appreciated the integrity with which their representatives speak, and the willingness to brainstorm solutions. In addition, our team has been very impressed with the high quality of the online training and the thoroughness of the project management. It's not every project that has folks becoming excited and generating new ideas during the implementation phase, but that has been the case for us."
