Spectrum on Top of Latest I-9 Release
Denver — Nov. 16
Less than a week after the federal government released a revised I-9 form, Spectrum Human Resource Systems Corporation has incorporated it into its iVantage software.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires all U.S. businesses to verify the employment eligibility of new hires using Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification). The form has become increasingly important as the government has sought to more strictly enforce compliance.

For this latest version, the DHS removed five identification and eligibility items from the list of accepted documents because they lacked certain security features.

“It’s very important to stay current with government releases so our clients can comply with regulations,” said Spectrum president and CEO Sybll Romley. “The I-9 form is particularly important because Homeland Security has really cracked down on compliance in the last couple of years. Our clients need it as fast as possible.”

The iVantage software includes the I-9 form as part of its reporting functions. To bring clients up to date, Spectrum released a hot fix that clients can download and integrate with their iVantage system.
