Softscape Appoints New CFO

<strong>Wayland, Mass. &mdash; April 16</strong><br />Softscape, a provider of integrated people management software, announced that William G. Brown joined the company as its new chief financial officer. With more than 25 years of experience as a financial executive, Brown will aid Softscape&#39;s aggressive growth plans as the leading strategic human capital management solutions provider.<br /><br />"Bill&#39;s finance and administration talents are ideally suited to Softscape as we move into our next phase of growth," said Dave Watkins, chief executive officer at Softscape. "Within the financial community, Bill is a recognized domain expert in the human resources market. He brings a depth of experience in interacting with the financial community and a proven track record in successfully growing both private and public technology companies."<br /><br />Brown is a seasoned leader who embraces a company&#39;s vision and delivers results. As the CFO and treasurer at Authoria Inc., he was instrumental in securing private-equity financing, making two strategic acquisitions and developing the core business administration functions. At ChannelAdvisor Corp., where he served as CFO, he helped raise $40 million in funding, drove the acquisition of a key competitor and led the strategic planning process. Brown also held roles as CFO, treasurer and executive vice president at Lightbridge Inc., which he helped take public in 1996, and financial and accounting management positions at BBN Technologies and Deloitte, Haskins and Sells.<br /><br />"Softscape is in a position of strength as one of the few people management vendors that is profitable.
