Siftsort.com Signs Multi-Year Agreement With IAC to Provide Online Document Storage
New York — April 17
Siftsort.com has signed a multi-year agreement with IAC to provide their family document-storage solution as a human resource benefit to more than 20,000 employees of IAC and its portfolio companies, operating more than 60 diversified brands. Siftsort.com provides a simple and secure way to organize important family documents so they can be accessed and shared using a computer, mobile device or toll-free hotline. Users can safely exchange information with doctors, lawyers, accountants and family members.
“A top priority for any leading company is its concern for its employees' well-being. IAC is displaying just that,” said Darren Conte, founder and CEO of Siftsort.com. “With this benefit, employees will have peace of mind knowing that their family information is organized, secure and readily available to them using the latest technology.”
A Trip to Louisiana Started It All
Darren Conte was in Louisiana six weeks after Hurricane Katrina and witnessed the devastation firsthand. He asked himself, “How does a family provide the necessary documents and records to insurance carriers, medical providers and state agencies when their house and everything in it has been completely destroyed?”
As a former Vice President in charge of Crisis Management for Goldman Sachs & Co., he recognized the importance of extending the business-contingency planning model to the home, thereby reducing a family's vulnerability. He created Siftsort.com with user-friendly enhancements to fit today's households. “Actually, family emergencies occur every day. That's why it's important to know where everything is,” said Conte.
“Employees are the heart of our organization, so helping them protect their family and household makes good business sense,” explained David Birnbaum, senior director of compensation and benefits at IAC. “Siftsort.com is an outstanding complement to our benefits package.”
Year-Round Enrollment Benefit
IAC employees are allowed to sign up for Siftsort.com as a payroll-deducted benefit at any time during the year, which permits them to join outside of the standard two-week open-enrollment period. They may use the system free of charge for 30 days. When they choose to continue the benefit, users pay a corporate monthly subscription fee that provides them with unlimited storage capacity, a secure e-mail address, a dedicated fax number and toll-free support. The benefit also provides portability for employees who leave the company.
“Siftsort.com has a number of features that make it superior to alternative online storage sites. It is an easy-to-use, interactive and economical solution for every household,” added Conte.
