Rochester Unveils Free Outdoor Wi-Fi Network

<p><strong>Jersey City, N.J. &mdash; Sept. 25</strong><br />Comodo, a global certification authority and provider of identity- and trust assurance-management solutions, has announced that the city of Rochester, N.Y., through Rochester Digital Ripple, will begin deployment of free wireless Internet access to residents and visitors in the South Wedge/ Rochester community. </p><p>As an added service, Rochester Digital Ripple will offer users the ability to sign up for two services: Comodo TrustConnect, a service to create a secure wireless session, and Comodo TrustFax, an online fax service.<br /><br />Rochester Digital Ripple, along with a select group of students, will spearhead the management and deployment of the wireless network throughout the city. </p><p>As part of the service, users will be able to sign up for two Comodo solutions: TrustConnect and TrustFax. <br /><br />”Wireless is the ideal platform for cities to deploy myriad new services that benefits residents, visitors and businesses,” said Melih Abdulhayoglu, Comodo CEO and chief security architect. “We are proud to be offering our complimentary services to help make working, shopping and living in Rochester more enjoyable.”</p>
