Research Foundation Will Focus on Improving U.S. Broadband Deployment
Washington — May 18
The Center for Technology Partnership, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, will launch a series of ambitious initiatives to address the lack of broadband penetration in the U.S. Kenneth Brown, the organization's new director, will lead the policy group's effort to increase the discussion of solutions to solving the broadband bottleneck in the U.S.

Brown commented: "It is not just important, but urgent that we accelerate broadband deployment in the U.S. Our country is ranked 15th in broadband penetration in the world. While there are obstacles such as price, return on investment and even technology limitations that need to be addressed, our nation has the talent, resources and capability to overcome this problem. The U.S. can definitely become a 'broadband everywhere' country within 10 years."
