Objective: Security
SubObjective: Secure Applications: Readers Fields

Single Answer Multiple Choice

Kelly has placed a Readers field on the Employee’s Review form and has placed a list of names in the field that includes all department managers except Henry. Henry has Manager access to the database. What will Henry be able to do with documents created from this form?

A. Edit
B. Edit, Delete, and Read
C. See the document displayed in a view
D. Nothing, because Henry isn’t listed in the Readers field

Answer:
D. Nothing, because Henry isn’t listed in the Readers field

Tutorial:
If a user is not listed in a Readers field of a form, he or she cannot read documents created from the form even if his or her access is higher than that of Reader.

A Readers field on a form also cannot give a user more access than what has been provided through the database ACL. For example, if a user has been assigned “No Access” within the ACL of a database, he or she will not be able to read a document simply by virtue of being listed in a Readers field.
