The DVD+R and Digital Data Storage (DDS)-3 media types could be used to transport a 1,100 MB file. The DVD+R and DVD-R media standards store up to 4.7 GB on a single optical disk. The DDS-3 digital audio tape (DAT) format stores from 12 through 20 GB on a single tape cartridge. Other tape formats, such as Travan and DLT, can also be used to store upwards to 70 GB per tape cartridge.

 

The Iomega Zip format can be used to store between 100 MB and 250 MB on a single disk.

 

The CD-R and CD-RW formats can be used to store up to 700 MB on a single optical disc.
