Los Angeles — July 7
Philip Lieberman, president of Lieberman Software Corp., will join an assembly of software executives for the “Windows Vista: A View from Partners” press panel at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston on July 8. This panel of industry thought leaders will discuss Windows Vista product certifications and the impact of these certifications on the security and manageability of Vista enterprise deployments.

“The Microsoft Windows Vista certification program provides a great business value for us as an ISV,” said Philip Lieberman, president of Lieberman Software. “Vista certification provides us with positive market differentiation, and it ensures our customers that we are offering the highest quality applications for the Microsoft platform. Long term, the Microsoft community can expect lower support costs and a better customer experience because of Vista certification.”

Lieberman Software is a managed Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in the ISV competency that provides end-to-end security and systems management solutions for Windows-based client and server deployments. The company launched a strategic initiative to develop Windows Vista certified applications several months before the launch of the operating system. Based on the architectural and security advances of Windows Vista, Lieberman anticipated the new operating system would be an integral element of customers’ future enterprise deployments.

Lieberman Software participated in the Windows Vista Beta Program, the Early Experience Program for Vista and the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program for Vista. This commitment to Vista testing and certification enabled the company to achieve five Vista product certifications prior to the launch of the new platform.

These products — including Random Password Manager, User Manager Pro, Service Account Manager, Account Reset Console and COM+ Manager — provide privileged password management, configuration management and regulatory compliance solutions for large organizations. The company’s Vista certification initiative is chronicled in a Microsoft case study titled “Lieberman Software’s Participation in Microsoft ‘Certified for Windows Vista’ Quality Logo Program.”

“Lieberman Software was one of the first ISV adopters of Windows Vista, based on its significant technical and security improvements over Windows XP,” Lieberman said. “We also had some of the first applications formally certified for the Vista platform. These investments helped us provide a smooth and secure migration path for our large worldwide base of enterprise customers to Windows Vista and then on to Windows Server 2008.”

The Worldwide Partner Conference provides a forum for Microsoft partners to learn more about business growth opportunities and product innovation from Microsoft executives. This year’s conference takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston from July 7-10.
