Personnel Decisions International Hires Raj Bowen

<strong>Minneapolis &mdash; Jan. 29</strong><br />Personnel Decisions International (PDI), a global consulting firm specializing in talent management and leadership development, named Raj Bowen to head their Indian operations. Bowen began his new role on Jan. 1 and is working with key PDI leaders to introduce their services to India from PDI&rsquo;s new Mumbai office.<br /><br />&ldquo;Raj Bowen is a talented leader who brings a wealth of experiences, insights and successes in the India market to PDI,&rdquo; said Cal G. Oltrogge, Ph.D., vice president and regional director of PDI Asia Pacific. &ldquo;His deep knowledge of the Indian market, his expertise in learning and development, his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for growth make him the right person in the right place at the right time for PDI today.&rdquo; <br /><br />&ldquo;Part of PDI&rsquo;s goal is to provide service on a global level with a localized touch,&rdquo; said Dave Heine, Ph.D., executive vice president of PDI. &ldquo;India is an essential emerging location in the global market, and Raj&rsquo;s experience will help deliver the caliber of service PDI clients expect with the local expertise required.&rdquo; <br /><br />Bowen is a seasoned business leader who has successfully launched and quickly grown new ventures. Most recently, as CEO of Dale Carnegie Training India, which started in 2003, he built a team of 70 professionals working across seven locations in India, creating the fastest-growing part of Dale Carnegie worldwide. With the support of the State of Kamataka, Bowen also created the Bangalore-based Dale Carnegie “finishing school” for young talent that will train more than 10,000 students annually when fully operational. <br /><br />Prior to Dale Carnegie Training India, Bowen headed the Corporate Solutions Group for the Western entity of NIS Sparta, a division of NIIT Ltd., India&#39;s largest private sector IT education provider. In this role, Bowen built and grew the solutions development and delivery business with blue-chip Indian large companies and global MNCs such as the Mahindra and Bajaj Groups, Bharti Airetel, Indian Railways, Parke Davis Pharmaceuticals, Kodak and Siemens. Before taking on the Corporate Solutions Group assignment, Bowen led the set up and operational start up of NIS Sparta in West India.<br /><br />Bowen holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Allahabad. <br />
