The Novell portfolio of identity and security management solutions has won the Best Security Solution category for the 2008 CODiE Awards, an annual program of the Software Industry and Information Association (SIIA) that recognizes achievement and vision in the software industry.
This award reinforces the breadth and depth of Novell's identity and security management solutions that are being deployed by nearly 6,000 customers worldwide.
“The CODiE Awards is one of the industry's premiere awards programs, and we are honored to have been selected as the Best Security Solution,” said Jim Ebzery, senior vice president and general manager of Identity and Security Management at Novell.

The CODiE awards, now in their 23rd year, recognize excellence in software, content and education platforms, applications and services. This year, more than 1,100 CODiE nominations were submitted by 600 companies.
Finalists in each category were selected by panels composed of software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers, analysts, consultants and subject matter experts. The winners were then chosen by vote of SIIA member companies.
