Nortel Networks has announced a new certification for its latest release of Succession, Succession 1000/1000M Release 3.0. Beta testing for the new certification will run through April 26, 2004.

Exam #921-443, Succession 1000/1000M Rls. 3.0, is one of two exams required for the Nortel Networks Certified Support Expert (NNCSE) credential for IP Convergence Succession 1000/1000M Rls. 3.0. In addition to the two exams, candidates must either hold or be working toward the Nortel Networks Certified Support Specialist (NNCSS) – VoIP Succession 1000/1000M Rls. 3.0 certification.

Exam #921-443 will be in beta until April 26. Registration for the beta is still open, and 50 free sports are reserved, though they are filling up fast. To register, visit the Nortel Networks Web site at http://www.nortelnetworks.com/certification.

With the availability of Succession 3.0 certifications, Nortel Networks is also planning to retire several of its credentials based on earlier Meridian 1 IP Enabled 25.40 and Succession CSE 1000 Rls. 2.0 products later in 2004.
