Dallas/Ft. Worth — June 2
Insala, a provider of outplacement and career transition software, announced a significant spike in new users in the first quarter of 2009. The company is projecting a 72 percent increase in new users of its EmploymentTalk outplacement software based on the number of first quarter new accounts.

“Companies are continuing to lay off staff, and we’re seeing new user accounts created daily,” said Phillip C. Roark, chief executive officer at Insala. “This, coupled with the significant expanded market use of EmploymentTalk by job boards and recruitment firms changing their business model to outplacement, also attributes the influx of new accounts.”

Recently reported first-quarter sales figures are mirroring the new-user increase with a 25 percent increase in revenues booked during the last quarter of 2008.

The International Labor Organization, a United Nations agency, estimates that worldwide job losses could reach 50 million by the end of 2009. The good news is that enlightened organizations large and small are taking the responsibility to help former employees find their next jobs.
