New Citrix Beta Exams Available
Citrix has released two new beta exams: Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0: Enterprise Edition Administration (#1Y1-223) and Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2: Administration (#1Y1-722).
The #1Y1-223 beta exam is based on Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0, and is associated with the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) and Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) certification tracks. The exam will address installation and administration of MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0, Enterprise Edition, and its components including the Web interface, the secure gateway, resource manager, installation manager, load manager and network manager. Candidates will be evaluated on the configuration of MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 policies and farm settings, as well as ICA sessions and printing. Candidates will also be tested on the installation and maintenance of MetaFrame Access Suite Licensing. The exam is two-and-a-half hours long and will be free through Aug. 6, 2004.
The #1Y1-722 beta exam is based on MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2 and is associated with the Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) track. The exam will evaluate candidates on the design, installation and maintenance of MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2. Candidates will be tested on the Access Management Console, as well as configuration of CDAs and troubleshooting MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2. Candidates also will be evaluated on enhancements provided in Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2, including the updated user interface, the ability to choose between an existing portal interface or the access center and the ability to connect securely and remotely to Microsoft Outlook with synchronized access to all functions. The 181-item test is three hours long and will be free through July 30, 2004.

Scores for beta exams will be available after the beta period has been completed, test results analyzed and a passing score established. The beta period is dependent upon a required minimum number of candidates completing the exam.
