My Perfect Gig unveiled MyPerfectGig.com, an online recruiting service for engineers across multiple disciplines.
With a “skill cloud” interface, the knowledge-based system presents skills in demand across the engineering industry. Engineering professionals can find job matches without resumes and questionnaires.
Visitors search anonymously, without registration, upfront questionnaires or first submitting a resume. MyPerfectGig.com’s algorithm updates skill associations based on user input, enabling its knowledge base to grow organically and find better matches.
“Our intelligent, guided-search interface reboots the recruiting world, enabling job seekers to share a ‘common language’ with employers,” said Blair Heavey, chief executive officer. “Those not actively seeking jobs can also discover the value of their specific skills within their market and more strategically plan their careers.”
Upon locating a well-suited position from the skill cloud interface, the candidate can choose to “green light” their willingness to be introduced. Only then can the employer request the candidate’s resume, after the candidate has identified his or her ideal job and requested the introduction.
My Perfect Gig has paying corporate customers and is partnering with content sites such as EETimes.com and more than 15 engineering schools and candidate database companies.
