MicroTek: List of 5,000 Fastest-Growing Businesses
<p><strong>Downers Grove, Ill. — Sept. 20</strong><br />MicroTek, a provider of business education facilities and services, has been ranked on first list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America. </p><p>MicroTek was ranked No. 2,481 on the 2007 Inc. 5000 list, with a sales growth rate of 141 percent over the past three years.<br /><br />“The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive look ever at the most important part of the economy: the entrepreneurial part,” said Inc. 5,000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. “The expansion of the list has allowed us to tell the stories of larger companies, older companies and a wealth of companies that are underreported in the business media.<br /><br />The Inc. 5,000 is an extension of <em>Inc. </em>magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list and catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host of smaller firms. </p><p>Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S. economy. </p><p>MicroTek is also a three-time Inc. 500 winner (2001, 2002 and 2004).<br /><br />“These years of sustained growth have provided a firm foundation for the expansion of our business model from that of a facilities provider to a training solutions partner to our customers,” said Don Slivensky, MicroTek CEO. “We are honored to be once again recognized by <em>Inc. </em>magazine, and to be included in this amazing list of world-class companies.”</p>
