Microsoft Certifications: An Overview

No matter how you slice and dice its numbers, Microsoft remains the biggest player in IT certification—a position that accurately reflects its dominance of the desktop and productivity suite market, as well as its share of server operating system and database markets. Following the release of Windows Server 2003 in April, Microsoft’s various certification programs have had to change and adapt to follow suit. Table 1 lists various Microsoft certifications.
