Louisiana Surveyors Seek Mobility
<p><strong>Norcross, Ga. — June 5</strong><br />Robotic and GPS technologies and techniques took center stage at the Louisiana State Professional Surveyors (LSPS) 2007 Annual Convention on April 18-21 in Baton Rouge. </p><p>More than 270 surveyors, mapping experts and other industry professionals at the convention had the opportunity to evaluate the most advanced products and services from Leica Geosystems.<br /><br />Attendees showed particular interest in the Leica System 1200 series of products, which includes the Leica SmartStation. </p><p>The SmartStation is a high-performance total station with a powerful GNSS/GPS integrated receiver. </p><p>This highly mobile and powerful system is ideal for surveyors interested in connecting to various RTK networks.<br /><br />"There is no other system on the market that allows a surveyor to perform conventional total station work and collect GPS static data at the same time," said Donald Biggs, Leica Geosystems Louisiana direct sales representative.
