Kenexa to Help Enhance the Recruitment Process

<p><strong>London &mdash; Nov. 26</strong><br />Kenexa, a provider of recruitment and retention solutions, announced that it has been selected by McDonald&rsquo;s to design a customized assessment for the recruitment of its entire U.K. and Northern Ireland team of hourly paid staff.<br /><br />Each year, the organization receives more than 400,000 applications for its crew, customer care and maintenance positions, and this new assessment will become an integral part of the “Hire the Smile” recruitment process for the organization&rsquo;s 1,225 U.K.- and Northern Ireland-based restaurants.<br /><br />&ldquo;We&rsquo;re hoping this assessment will save us time and bring enormous efficiency savings along with great consistency,&rdquo; said Nicky Ivory, reputation and resourcing consultant at McDonald&rsquo;s.<br /><br />The assessment will measure candidates against the key competencies necessary for a successful career at McDonald&rsquo;s, namely: customer engagement, personal interaction, teamwork, and speed and accuracy.<br /><br />&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve been working with Kenexa for a number of years for the assessment of our assistant branch managers, and we&rsquo;re delighted to continue what has been a very successful relationship,&rdquo; added Ivory.<br /><br />Troy Kanter, president and chief operating officer of Kenexa, said, &ldquo;As one of the strongest consumer brands in the world, it&rsquo;s critical for McDonald&rsquo;s to identify and recruit the very best front-line staff to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
