JDSU Signs Contract for Software from SumTotal
<p><strong>Mountain View, Calif. — June 21 </strong><br />SumTotal Systems Inc., a global provider of talent and learning management solutions, has signed a contract to provide 7,000 employees at Milpitas, Calif.-based JDSU (an enabler of broadband and optical innovation) with TotalPerformance, software that sets and analyzes employee goals, develops succession plans, identifies<br />high-performing workers and automates performance appraisals. </p><p>JDSU carries out its operations around the globe. So earlier this month, SumTotal implemented the performance management software for JDSU in Chinese, English and French.<br /><br />"SumTotal's product aligns well with our new emphasis on performance management tools that enable high-quality feedback between managers and employees and development dialogue versus providing a strictly quantitative rating process," said Jenny Brandemuehl,<br />JDSU director of talent management and organization effectiveness.</p><p>Carlino Cecilio, JDSU HRIS manager, agrees.</p><p>"We feel SumTotal's Visual Profiler drag-and-drop functionality for rating employees is innovative and provides us with flexibility," Cecilio said.
