(ISC)2 Makes Some Leadership Series Events Free

<p><strong>Palm Harbor, Fla. &mdash; July 18&nbsp;</strong><br />(ISC)2, a nonprofit provider of education and certification for information security professionals throughout their careers, is making its (ISC)2 Security Leadership Series one-day live events and half-day online seminars free to its 50,000-plus members worldwide. </p><p>The series is made up of online (ISC)2 e-Symposia, available exclusively to (ISC)2 members, and multiple- and one-day in-person events. </p><p>The regular fee will apply to attendees of all multiple-day Security Leadership events and to nonmembers attending any Security Leadership event.<br /><br />Launched in 2004, the (ISC)2 Security Leadership Series is a year-round information security education program that encompasses live and online events that provide professionals key knowledge on emerging security issues from leading industry experts and interaction with their peers.&nbsp; </p><p>The (ISC)2 e-Symposia are bimonthly, half-day online seminars that allow participants to listen and interact live with top information security experts from the convenience of their computer at work or home. </p><p>The 2007 fall Security Leadership Series will feature a dozen events, beginning in September with SecureDusseldorf in Germany and ending in early December with SecureSanJose in California.&nbsp; </p><p>Topics for the fall series include crimeware, wireless security, homeland security, computer forensics and privacy/identity protection. &nbsp;<br /><br />&ldquo;To support our members&rsquo; career development and assist their efforts to protect infrastructure, we&rsquo;re proud to bring them these compelling, free education opportunities,&rdquo; said Ed Zeitler, CISSP, (ISC)2 executive director. &ldquo;The Security Leadership Series also helps organizations, providing them the assurance that their (ISC)2-certified staff is regularly receiving the most up-to-date information on security best practices.&rdquo;<br /><br />(ISC)2-certified members can earn continuing professional education (CPE) credits toward maintaining their certifications by participating in the live and online Security Leadership seminars.</p>
