Fort Myers, Fla. — June 10
Interop Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless technology solutions for the global wireless, packaged goods and content industries, announced it is offering content from OpenMarket Inc., a provider of mobile messaging and financial payment processing systems for direct-to-consumer (D2C) mobile commerce, to network service providers that are Interop clients.

Interop Technologies provides a single point of connection, linking the company’s 55 mobile service-provider clients with short-code content offerings from OpenMarket and the estimated 400 content providers it represents. Interop Technologies also provides valuable off-portal management tools for mobile service providers and a dedicated content team, enabling providers to ingest and provision the short-code content efficiently.

The innovative approach benefits all parties in the wireless-content value chain. Mobile service providers obtain an efficient method for managing content from multiple sources and offering it to their customers. OpenMarket increases its mobile service provider reach by extending connectivity to networks served by Interop. Consumers, in turn, benefit from a broader array of content choices offered by OpenMarket.

“We are connecting content aggregators to our growing mobile service-provider customer base in a simplified way and enabling service providers to manage aggregator relationships conveniently,” said Damian Sazama, vice president of marketing and product development at Interop Technologies. “It’s a winning strategy for expanding the mobile content market and delivering more content options to consumers.”

“OpenMarket enables brands, media companies and high-growth businesses to rapidly and cost-effectively leverage the mobile channel to market and distribute their digital content offerings,” said Steve Shivers, general manager of OpenMarket.

“As OpenMarket continues to expand the breadth and depth of its mobile service provider connections, this agreement with Interop Technologies allows our content providers to reach an additional market segment while increasing their overall return on investment.”
