Interop Technologies Names Eddy Cojulun

<p><strong>Fort Myers, Fla. &mdash; Aug. 14</strong><br />Interop Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless technology solutions, has announced the appointment of Eddy Cojul&uacute;n Vela as regional sales director for Latin America and the Caribbean. </p><p>Cojul&uacute;n has nearly 13 years of experience in working with wireless operators and implementing CDMA and GSM solutions in the area. </p><p>He is based in Guatemala City, Guatemala.<br /><br />Cojul&uacute;n will be responsible for managing regional sales of Interop Technologies-hosted and turnkey messaging, device management and personalization solutions to wireless operators.<br /><br />Most recently, Cojul&uacute;n was marketing director for broadband strategy for Nortel Networks in Peru and Ecuador. </p><p>For the previous three years, he served at Telef&oacute;nica M&oacute;viles de Espa&ntilde;a, initially as a regional production IT manager and later as a marketing manager, in Guatemala and El Salvador. </p><p>Cojul&uacute;n also worked as a regional sales manager-telcos for IDS de Centroam&eacute;rica for four years and managed distributors for the Informix Business Division of SISTECO, a computer services company, for nearly four years. </p><p>He studied at Francisco Marroqu&iacute;n University in Guatemala and received a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science from AMU-Gruppen in Uddevalla, Sweden. <br /><br />A native of Guatemala, Cojul&uacute;n speaks English, Swedish, and French in addition to Spanish.<br /><br />&ldquo;Interop Technologies is making a long-term commitment to Latin America and the Caribbean,&rdquo; said John Dwyer, president and CEO. &ldquo;Eddy Cojul&uacute;n has a strong background in wireless and will work closely with network operators in the region to help them deliver compelling, revenue-producing services based on Interop solutions.&rdquo;</p>
