Interop Technologies Announces Four Deployments With Wireless Operators

<strong>Fort Myers, Fla. &mdash; April 1</strong><br />Interop Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless technology solutions, announced solution deployments with four network operators including Centennial Wireless, Immix Wireless, Alaska DigiTel and West Central Wireless. <br /><br />&ldquo;The market for wireless messaging, device management and entertainment solutions is growing dramatically,&rdquo; said Damian Sazama, vice president of marketing and product development at Interop Technologies. &ldquo;Our company is there with carrier-grade solutions that help network operators deliver the services their customers demand.&rdquo;<br /> <br />Centennial Wireless, a regional wireless telecommunications provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of Centennial Communications Corp., is deploying the Interop Technologies hosted CSC Gateway. Centennial Wireless operates a GSM network in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. The solution provides immediate connectivity to numerous content aggregators and accommodates strong growth in the use of short codes.<br /> <br />&ldquo;The Interop CSC Gateway will help us deliver a much broader offering of revenue-generating content,&rdquo; said Jeremy Bracey, marketing director at Centennial Wireless. &ldquo;In addition, this hosted solution provides fast time to market at minimal capital investment.&rdquo;<br /> <br />Immix Wireless, a Reading, Penn., wireless network operated by PC Management of Bonita Springs, Fla., also is purchasing a hosted CSC Gateway from Interop Technologies. <br /> <br />&ldquo;This hosted solution allows us to expand our content offering to include the enhanced services our customers request,&rdquo; said Dennis Bloss, vice president. &ldquo;Increasingly, wireless customers are using their phones and a five-digit code to request ringtones, subscribe to services, participate in TV voting and much more.&rdquo;<br /> <br />Alaska DigiTel, a CDMA wireless operator serving key areas of Alaska, has purchased the Over-the-Air (OTA) Programming Solution 3.3 from Interop Technologies. The deployment, scheduled for the second quarter, will enable Alaska DigiTel to reduce retail activation time by up to 40 percent and automatically update customers&rsquo; phones. <br /> <br />&ldquo;For the past 10 years, Alaska DigiTel has provided the highest quality wireless services to customers in the greater Anchorage, Mat-Su Valley, Juneau and Fairbanks areas,&rdquo; said Mark Holt, director of business development and marketing at Alaska DigiTel. &ldquo;The hosted Interop OTA solution enables us to improve convenience for our customers with minimal capital investment.&rdquo;<br /> <br />West Central Wireless, a network operator headquartered in San Angelo, Texas, has purchased a turnkey SMS Center 4.0 from Interop Technologies. The highly scalable SMSC will enable the operator to increase the number of messaging customers and volume of text messages on its system, as well as offer additional SMS support to operators with whom the company shares its switches. Locally owned and operated, West Central Wireless serves 16 counties in Texas and offers switching services to several additional wireless operators within the United States. <br /> <br />&ldquo;With the turnkey SMSC 4.0 from Interop Technologies in place, we can easily handle the increases in SMS traffic that we expect going forward,&rdquo; said Mike Higgins, general manager of West Central Wireless. &ldquo;At the same time, the SMSC 4.0 provides valuable management tools, including Web-based customer care and reporting, to help us deliver personalized service to users of popular text messaging services.&rdquo;<br /> <br />The complete line of Interop Technologies solutions for messaging, device management, and entertainment and personalization will be on display in booth 5917, Hall N3/N2, at the CTIA WIRELESS 2008 tradeshow in Las Vegas, April 1-3.<br />
