Dr. John Jones to Lead Vangent’s Division

<strong>Chicago &mdash; Jan. 22</strong><br />Vangent Inc., a leading provider of results-oriented human capital and talent management solutions, announced it has appointed Dr. John (Jack) Jones as vice president and chief scientist of its human capital division. In this role, Dr. Jones will serve as the principal thought leader in the research, development and delivery of Vangent&rsquo;s Assessment and Hiring Solutions portfolio. He will oversee all psychologists and consultants involved in the design of Vangent&rsquo;s human capital assessment systems and will be responsible for maintaining the quality, effectiveness, reliability and integrity of the company&rsquo;s assessment and hiring solutions.<br /><br />Vangent&rsquo;s human capital business offers industry-leading learning, hiring and talent management solutions and works with hundreds of diverse corporate and government clients. Each year the company administers more than 2 million applicant events through the Internet, IVR systems and onsite kiosks and its hiring solutions portfolio includes more than 100 prevalidated assessments and 500 scales.<br /><br />In Dr. Jones&rsquo; more than 25 years of experience in the human capital management business, he has held a number of executive positions, including president and senior I-O psychologist for IPAT Inc., a leading international publisher of HR/OD, protective services, clinical and educational assessments. Previously, he led the research and development and professional services organizations at Pearson Reid London House and was the head of consulting services at NCS Pearson. He also performed the roles of chief industrial psychologist and director of the Human Factors Loss Control Program at The St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Companies, where he introduced a wide variety of behaviorally oriented risk-management programs. <br /><br />&ldquo;Jack brings to Vangent a unique combination of scientific expertise and executive leadership,&rdquo; said David Fabianski, president of Vangent&rsquo;s human capital business. &ldquo;Jack is a great addition to our team. His numerous publications include the Journal of Business and Psychology; Personnel Testing: A Manager&rsquo;s Guide; Applying Psychology in Business: A Handbook for Managers and Organizations; Virtual HR; and Advances in e-Business and Psychology.<br /><br />Dr. Jones received his Ph.D. in applied psychology from DePaul University and his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He was awarded diplomat status in I/O psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a licensed psychologist in Illinois and Virginia. Dr. Jones is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Society and the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, among others.<br />
