Atlanta — Aug. 28
HRworks, a national recruitment firm, is leveraging its experience in recruitment governance by establishing a recruitment compliance practice area.

HRworks experts will partner with corporate human resources managers to provide scalable recruitment support while focusing on regulations mandated by the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), thereby minimizing companies’ liability for noncompliance with federal regulations.

The OFCCP recently began auditing companies’ compliance with the 2006 Internet applicant rule, which applies to federal contractors and subcontractors and addresses recordkeeping regarding job seekers who are considered for work via the Internet or related electronic data technologies.

“OFCCP settlements are steadily increasing, making it imperative for companies to be proactive about their recruitment processes and conduct an internal review,” said Kurt Ronn, HRworks president and founder. “Our recruitment compliance experts have the knowledge to help companies review their existing processes and then develop a strategy that will achieve workforce planning objectives, as well as improve federal compliance.”

The recruitment compliance practice will be led by David Scheffler, director of recruitment compliance.

Scheffler has more than a decade of experience in the affirmative action sector, with specialty in recruitment process and governance.

Failing an OFCCP audit can mean expensive penalties, lost business and damage to a company’s reputation.
