HRMAC Names New Chair, Board Members
<p><strong>Chicago — Aug. 28</strong><br />True Value Co. has announced that Amy Mysel, senior vice president of human resources and communications, was named chair of the board of directors of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the oldest and largest professional human resources organization in the country. </p><p>Mysel will chair its new board of directors for 2007 to 2008.<br /><br />Mysel brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources leadership, including senior executive positions at Caremark (Baxter Healthcare), Foote, Cone & Belding (True North Communications), Market Day, Hyatt International and Playboy Enterprises. </p><p>She is also the current chair of HRMAC’s public relations committee.<br /><br />In her acceptance message Mysel assured members that the leadership will focus its energies on leveraging the great work accomplished in recent years with a blend of new initiatives. </p><p>“We will keep a close eye on maintaining the high caliber of product offerings that HRMAC is known for and couple this with key professional networking and touch points to all member segments in the years ahead,” she said.<br /><br />As HRMAC chair, Mysel will preside over a board of directors composed of key leaders from the Chicago business community.<br /><br />William Luehrs, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare chief human resources officer, was elected HRMAC vice chairman. </p><p>Annemieke van der Werff, ABN Amro North America executive vice president and head of human resources, was elected secretary. </p><p>Maureen Tarantello, Watson Wyatt Worldwide director of account management, was elected HRMAC treasurer.<br /><br />Human resources professionals newly elected to the HRMAC board of directors are: Elizabeth Calhoun, Sterling Capital Partners principal of human capital; Jeff Childs, U.S. Cellular senior vice president of human resources; Brian Clarke, Kensington International managing partner of search; Brian Cook, USG Corp. senior vice president of human resources; and Perry Zukowski, OfficeMax executive vice president of human resources.</p><p>Re-elected and sustaining HRMAC directors are: </p><ul><li>Dennis Berger, CDW senior vice president and chief coworker services officer</li><li>John Challenger, Challenger, Gray & Christmas CEO</li><li>Kent DeLucenay, Human Capital Advisors president</li><li>Sue Menzel, Conseco Inc. executive vice president of human resources</li><li>Doug Patrick, Hyatt Hotels vice president of human resources</li><li>Ron Sipiora, Aon Consulting senior vice president </li></ul>Jeffrey Husserl becomes HRMAC’s immediate past chair.
