HR XCEL Names Janet LeClair as President

<p><strong>Charlotte, N.C. &mdash; July 24</strong><br />Barbara Sheridan co-founded HR XCEL, a Charlotte-based provider of human resources outsourcing (HRO) services, in 1998. </p><p>After nine years of leading the company she grew into a multimillion dollar business, Sheridan now steps down as president, moving into an advisory position on the board of directors.<br /><br />HR XCEL has named Janet LeClair as its new president. </p><p>LeClair brings more than 25 years of financial services industry experience, highlighted by eight years as director of Wachovia&rsquo;s HR Support Center, supporting more&nbsp; than 100,000 employees. <br /><br />During her tenure, LeClair led the transformation of the HR support center to a highly automated and efficient HR service organization.<br /><br />No stranger to the way the company is run, she was initially brought in by Sheridan as a consultant. After six months, Sheridan and HR XCEL co-founder Todd Wiebusch realized LeClair was the right person to lead HR XCEL through its next phase of growth.<br /><br />&ldquo;We are proud of Barb&rsquo;s accomplishments at HR XCEL,&quot; Wiebusch said. &quot;Through her vision and dedication, she built a multimillion dollar business known for exceptional service in the highly competitive HR outsourcing business. Barb and I believe that Janet&rsquo;s skills and experience managing multidisciplinary HR functions is a highly complex and fast-growing environment will enable HR XCEL to continue its growth and success.&rdquo;<br /><br />Wiebusch also said he LeClair&rsquo;s record will serve HR XCEL well. </p><p>&ldquo;Janet&rsquo;s extensive background managing a well-run shared service center has prepared her to lead us toward organizational excellence and service excellence for our clients,&rdquo; he said.<br /><br />During 20 years with Wachovia, LeClair served in leadership roles in the areas of risk management, financial controls, budgets and planning in both HR and finance disciplines.<br /><br />In addition to her professional duties, LeClair &mdash; who graduated from Lehigh University with a bachelor&#39;s degree accounting and marketing &mdash; is also an active member of her community. </p><p>She serves on the Mint Museum&rsquo;s Board of Trustees and is former and past chair of the board of the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools Education Foundation. </p><p>She is also a member of the St. Matthew Catholic Church Finance Council and the Assistance League of Charlotte.</p>
