HR Executive Honored for Leadership, Entrepreneurial Spirit

<strong>Cincinnati &mdash; March 19</strong><br />Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of <em>Enterprising Women Magazine </em>has announced that Robin Throckmorton of Strategic HR Inc. is a 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Award Finalist.<br /><br />Robin Throckmorton, M.A., SPHR, is the founder and senior consultant with Strategic HR Inc., a human resources management consulting firm located in Cincinnati, and co-founder of e-HResources.com, an online consulting firm. She has been a consultant for more than 10 years with health care, manufacturing, service and nonprofit organizations, creating solutions to help them recruit and retain the best and brightest employees. Robin is the co-author of Bridging the Generation Gap. She is a frequent speaker for professional associations and conferences on the topics of generational differences, retention, recruitment strategies and labor trends. <br /><br />The Enterprising Women of the Year Award honors the country&#39;s finest women entrepreneurs and their remarkable success. The award also recognizes honorees as leaders who have mentored and given back to other women in business and have had a profound impact on their communities. Award recipients were honored at a gala dinner on Feb. 29 at Disney&#39;s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., as part of a three-day celebration held in their honor.<br /><br />"Our award honorees are accomplished entrepreneurs who have earned the respect and admiration of their communities," Smiley said.
