Burlington, Mass.
How can human resources professionals leverage technology to put highly practical tools, models and methods at employees’ fingertips and ensure that learning in training workshops is used on the job and actually influences behavior for better outcomes?

Kaiser Permanente has discovered a way. Company officials will present how they go beyond training workshops to embed learning and help their workforce embrace collaboration and change with the help of a Web-based platform, Total Access, at a April 9 Webinar, sponsored by the International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM).

“By using this platform, Kaiser can now provide just-in-time, informal and formal learning to improve cross-functional collaboration and increase our ROI on learning and development investments,” said Christopher Henry, senior manager of management development, learning and organizational development for Kaiser. “This has resulted in increased marketplace competitiveness, sustainability, the ability to be more nimble and the capacity to enact change quickly.”

During the Webinar, Henry and Bell Zeidman of Interaction Associates will lead participants through Kaiser’s strategic process for moving to this platform and will demonstrate the capabilities of Total Access.

Specifically, attendees will learn:
How Kaiser Permanente enhances its face-to-face leadership development with a Web-based learning and collaboration platform.
The business case for blended learning.
What to do after the training workshop.
How implementation of this Web-based tool will create a rapid movement toward collaboration across the enterprise — not just region-to-region, but between employees and management.

The Webinar will be held from 9 – 10:30 a.m. (PT); 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (CT); and noon – 1:30 p.m. (ET) on April 9. It has been approved for 1.50 recertification credit hours toward Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Registration fees are $135 for IHRIM members and $195 for nonmembers. Included are one Internet connection, one phone connection, one set of handouts and unlimited participant attendance at your site.
