GeoLearning Announces 2008 Summit on Learning & Performance

West Des Moines, Iowa — April 9
GeoLearning Inc., a provider of managed learning services and hosted learning and performance platforms, announced the 2008 Summit on Learning & Performance, its annual user and partner conference, will take place June 8-12 in San Antonio at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio.

“With over 40 educational sessions, the 2008 Summit is a unique opportunity to connect with more than 200 learning professionals and thought leaders to gain a complete understanding of the emerging trends and best practices in the on-demand learning and performance management industry,” said Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning.

The Keynote Addresses
The 2008 Summit features two learning industry luminaries. Chris Howard, principal analyst and director of research for learning research and advisory firm Bersin & Associates, will present “State of the Industry: More Change Ahead” on day one. This keynote will discuss findings in areas such as learning on-demand, content management and the software as a service model. He'll also cover the latest in talent management suites and trends in performance management, identified by research to be the foundation for achieving business impact for talent management initiatives.

Bryan Chapman, chief learning strategist with Chapman Alliance and a Brandon Hall Research partner, will kick off day two with “Beyond the Blend: Optimizing the Use of Your LMS.” Attendees will hear about real-world best practices to illustrate the impact of blended learning and provide tips and techniques for how to move beyond the traditional blend. Chapman will also present a concurrent session titled “Talent Management: Sharing the Performance Management Charter Between HR & Training.”

Customer presentations will include case studies and best practice discussions from several GeoLearning clients, including Adecco North America, AMC Entertainment, PHH Mortgage, TeleTech Holdings and Wells Fargo.

2008 Summit Curriculum and Training Programs

The curriculum for the four-day event will feature interactive workshops and educational sessions from a wide variety of learning industry experts, as well as case studies and how-to sessions from GeoLearning customers. Sessions are designed to share strategies and best practices in the areas of learning and performance management, collaborative learning, learning content development and management, and training measurement.

Customers can schedule Face2Face sessions with a professional from GeoLearning's product management team to express product ideas and enhancements, and learn more about the inner workings of GeoLearning's product management strategy.

Attendees can also register for two distinct product training curriculums in either “Boot Camp” or “Master Certification” tracks. Both cover the core functionality of GeoLearning's new GeoMaestro 5 Series LMS platform. Boot Camp is designed for new customers or those about to deploy the 5 Series, while the Master Certification program targets existing clients who desire deeper understanding and knowledge of the system.
