Long Beach, Calif. — July 8
MovinCool has announced the publication of a new free guide for IT managers, “Preventing IT Heat Disasters: Backup Air Conditioners for Small to Mid-Size Server Rooms and Network Closets.”

“Even though IT managers know that their equipment is subject to overheating during air-conditioning outages, many do not have a backup cooling system in place and are therefore at risk for costly downtime and equipment damage,” said John Doran, senior manager of heat management and customer service.

This new seven-page guide from MovinCool addresses this problem by examining the advantages of using portable spot coolers, a class of commercial portable air-conditioners, as backup systems. The seven-page guide is available as a free download from the MovinCool Web site.

MovinCool, a manufacturer of commercial portable air-conditioners, is a brand of Denso Corp. In the 1980s, Denso pioneered the concept of workspace spot cooling to meet its own factory needs in Japan. Since then, MovinCool has developed a wide range of portable and ceiling-mount air conditioning systems for many different applications.
