Former Cybersecurity Director Joins Wurldtech

<strong>Vancouver, Canada &mdash; Oct. 15</strong><br />Wurldtech Security Technologies, a provider of cyberrisk and compliance management solutions for industrial automation industries worldwide, announced that Perry A. Pederson, former director for the Control Systems Security Program at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security&rsquo;s (DHS) National Cyber Security Division (NCSD), has joined the management team as vice president of Wurldtech Labs, the applied research and cyberthreat intelligence division.<br /><br />In this newly created role, Pederson will oversee applied research contracts, manage technology partnerships, direct the Achilles Certification Program and expand cyberthreat intelligence efforts. I am excited to join the team and help execute on their strategy going forward.&rdquo;<br /><br />Pederson&#39;s distinguished career as a control systems security expert and technology development manager spans 25 years and includes leadership positions with both public- and private-sector organizations. Before joining Wurldtech, Pederson held the position of infrastructure and cybersecurity program manager at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he focused on cybersecurity, information analytics and infrastructure protection. <br /><br />Prior to that role, Pederson served as director of the Control Systems Security Program within the NCSD, leading the development of vulnerability assessments, tools and training for control systems owners and operators to include standards and best practices. Previously, he was the infrastructure protection program manager for the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) at the U.S. Department of Defense.
