FieldMedia LLC to Launch Web 2.0 for Benefits

<p><strong>Aurora, Ontario &mdash; Sept. 21</strong><br />FieldMedia, in conjunction with HR.com, has launched two redesigned Web sites CDHC Solutions (www.cdhcsolutionsmag.com) and Benefits and Compensation Solutions (www.bcsolutionsmag.com). </p><p>The new sites are built on Siteforum&rsquo;s Web 2.0 platform and will enable FieldMedia to deliver more in-depth content and increase awareness of benefits and compensation issues and consumer-directed health care initiatives within the human capital management industry.<br /><br />Initially, the sites will be privately previewed to FieldMedia and HR.com&rsquo;s advertisers, and they will go global Oct. 1. </p><p>&ldquo;These new Web sites will allow us to create communities, share knowledge and exchange information in a way that our previous websites were unable to,” said Doug Field, Field Media CEO. “This is really more than just an online version of our publications &mdash; these are Web 2.0 communities that enable our members to connect and educate themselves in an interactive way that has yet to be seen in the benefits and compensation and CDHC communities.&rdquo; </p><p>The new Web site properties were built in conjunction with HR.com and will take advantage of its Siteforum platform, which will allow users to:<br /></p><ul><li>Find and connect with colleagues and peers.</li><li>Create their own benefits and compensation or CDHC blogs.</li><li>Submit their own articles and share their industry expertise.</li><li>Contribute to a wiki by adding, editing and sharing forms, templates, descriptions and metrics.</li><li>Participate in issue-specific discussion forums.</li><li>Locate the latest and greatest industry content in one location.<br /></li></ul><p>HR.com is the largest online community and social network for HR professionals and will work together with FieldMedia to drive the community and grow membership in the HR community. </p><p>In addition, the two organizations will sell each other&rsquo;s online advertising inventory, allowing existing advertisers to leverage their marketing efforts and increase reach.<br /><br />CDHC Solutions and Benefits and Compensation Solutions readers are encouraged to visit the new Web sites and join one of hundreds of pre-existing communities. </p>
