Philadelphia — Feb. 17
Fasthosts Internet, a reseller Web hosting provider, announced it is participating in a green initiative, which aims to ensure all services run from a green data center. Fasthosts is part of United Internet’s global green initiative, whose renewable resources save 30,000 tons of CO2 each year.

Fasthosts is certified by Green-e, a certification program for renewable energy. Fasthosts is purchasing enough renewable energy certificates from the nonprofit Bonneville Environmental Foundation to match 100 percent of the electricity used at the company’s data center.

“At Fasthosts, it is important for us to offer our reseller’s a service that will allow them to succeed,” said Steve Holford, CMO of Fasthosts. “Environmentally-conscious products and services are in a great demand now, so we’ve decided to offer our resellers the ability to sell a green product at no extra cost. Besides being a valuable selling point for our resellers, Fasthosts is proud to be an environmentally responsible company.”
