Element K Partners With Sun Microsystems to Market and Distribute E-Learning Programs

<strong>Rochester, N.Y. &mdash; March 27</strong><br />Element K and Sun Microsystems announced a partnership to expand the availability of Sun Authorized e-learning courses and certification bundles to its customers. The interactive training will be distributed through Element K to improve the productivity of corporate IT departments that depend upon Sun technologies and advance the expertise and income potential of individuals pursuing Sun certifications.<br /><br />Course bundles will provide full coverage of Sun&rsquo;s programming for operating system, server and disk storage areas ranging from Java and Solaris OS to Sun Fire, Sun Blade and Sun StorEdge hardware. As part of the course bundle, software process training &mdash; which includes information lifecycle management and numerous other training bundles &mdash; is available to users.<br /><br />&ldquo;As a global leader in networking technologies, Sun has always recognized the advantage of offering the best training programs available to enhance the skills and expertise of Information Technology professionals,&rdquo; said Denny Schall, senior director of customer and community advocacy at Sun Learning Services. &ldquo;Based upon their demonstrated capabilities to promote and distribute online technical training programs and certifications, we&#39;re confident that Element K will work aggressively to expand our program into the e-learning realm.&rdquo; <br /><br />Schall continued, &ldquo;Element K is the first of a new class of strategic partners to help Sun Learning Services enhance its technical training offerings.&rdquo;<br /><br />Sun Authorized courses are available for businesses as part of Element K&rsquo;s Enterprise Libraries or for individual consumers using smaller packages that target specific systems or technologies.
