Sun Certified Business Component Developer Exam
Obtaining the Sun Certified Business Component Developer for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition 1.3 (SCBCD) credential requires passing a single exam, #310-090. However, only individuals who’ve obtained the Sun Certified Java Programmer credential or who’ve passed exam #310-025 or #310-035 may register for this exam. As an intermediate-level Sun Java exam, it takes fairly serious preparation, but since the exam has only been out since Aug. 25, 2003, aftermarket offerings remain somewhat thin. (There are, however, two Sun courses, multiple study guides, exam reviews and practice tests already available, making both course-based and self-study reasonable prep options.) Table 1 summarizes exam facts for the SCBCD exam.
