Corr Wireless Deploys Interop Technologies

<p><strong>Fort Myers, Fla. &mdash; Aug. 30 </strong><br />Interop Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless technology solutions, has announced that Corr Wireless, a network operator serving north Alabama and northwest Georgia, is the first wireless company in the nation to deploy the Interop Short Message Center (SMSC) 4.0 turnkey solution.<br /><br />SMSC 4.0 easily meets the higher volume and availability requirements of today&rsquo;s messaging environments. </p><p>The turnkey solution, now commercially deployed in the Corr Wireless network, will help the operator meet increasing customer demand for text messaging.<br /><br />The SMSC 4.0 delivers new levels of scalability and throughput for wireless operators and major brands, and it provides the 99.999 percent reliability they require. </p><p>For customers, the SMSC 4.0 supports one- and two-way short text messaging; short codes for contests and promotions; mobile e-mail; Web-based messaging; store-and-forward capability; roaming and real-time, Web-based customer care. </p><p>For Corr Wireless, the solution delivers highly efficient and flexible transactional billing; equal service levels for prepaid and postpaid customers and a blaster tool that enables the operator to communicate quickly and easily with all or part of its subscriber base for informational, promotional, and account collection purposes. </p><p>The solution also is available as a hosted service.<br /><br />&ldquo;Our subscriber numbers are rising, and our SMS volume has increased dramatically as text messaging has gained in popularity,” said Bryan Corr, president and CEO. “At this moment, we provide more than 300,000 subscribers with this service and are now positioned to grow that number even further.</p><p>&ldquo;We have a long-term working relationship with Interop Technologies.
