Convergys Names Alex Lowrie Global Practice Leader
<p><strong>Cincinnati — Aug. 21</strong><br />Convergys Corp., a global provider of customer care, human resources and billing services, has named Alex Lowrie as global practice leader for its learning solutions offering. </p><p>In this capacity, Lowrie is responsible for defining and driving Convergys’ Learning Center of Excellence, which provides expert learning services to Convergys customers. </p><p>He oversees the implementation and ongoing operation of quality, scalable and cost-effective learning services; the development and maintenance of pricing models in support of all learning offerings; learning solutions’ content management, authoring and review systems infrastructure; and the provisioning of content maintenance and translation services in support of HRO implementations. <br /><br />Lowrie joined Convergys Learning solutions six years ago through Convergys' acquisition of Digital Think. </p><p>He has a master’s degree in instructional design and technologies from San Francisco State University and possesses more than 11 years of experience designing and developing learning products for global industry leaders. </p><p>He also has spent seven years optimizing content development processes in both the standardized test preparation industry and the e-learning industry. </p><p>For the past two years, he has defined and applied standardization practices in Convergys’ shared service learning operation. <br /><br />Lowrie is a frequent presenter at major trade events such as ASTD, TechLearn and the e-Learning Guild.</p>
