CompTIA Presents Best of Show Awards

<strong>Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. &mdash; Aug. 21</strong><br />The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) has recognized five companies at the forefront of technology innovation for their product, sales and marketing strategies.<br /> <br />Ingram Micro, Intel, McAfee, Websense and Xerox won best of show awards at Breakaway, the annual conference for CompTIA members held earlier this month in Orlando, Fla. Breakaway is the information technology industry&rsquo;s premier education, networking and partnering event. Some 1,200 IT industry leaders attended this year&rsquo;s conference.<br /> <br />Winners of the CompTIA Breakaway Best of Show awards were selected based on the voting of more than 225 VIP value-added resellers and technology solution providers who attended the conference.<br /> <br /><ul><li>Ingram Micro Inc., Santa Ana, Calif., the world&rsquo;s largest technology distributor, won the award for Best Distribution and Support.</li><li>Intel Corp., Santa Clara, Calif., the world leader in silicon innovation and developer of technologies, products and initiatives to continually advance how people work and live, won awards for “Best Product: Hardware and the overall Best of Show honor.</li><li>McAfee Inc., Santa Clara, Calif., the leading dedicated security technology company, won the Breakaway award for Best Presentation.</li><li>Xerox Corp., Norwalk, Conn., the world&#39;s leading document management technology and services enterprise, won two awards; for Best Solutions Sales Strategy and Best Channel Strategy.</li><li>Websense Inc., San Diego, Calif., the technology leader in integrated Web security, email security and data loss prevention solutions, won the Breakaway best of show award for Best Product: Software.</li></ul> <br />”This year&rsquo;s Breakaway Solutions Pavilion featured exhibits and presentations from more than 135 companies, representing virtually all sections of our industry,&rdquo; said John Venator, president and chief executive officer of CompTIA. “These five companies were singled out by their reseller partners for special recognition for delivering high quality technology solutions that deliver real business value to customers.&rdquo; <br />
