Comodo, Public Libraries Partner
<p><strong>Jersey City, N.J. — Aug. 2</strong><br />Comodo, a global provider of identity- and trust assurance-management solutions, has announced that the Davenport Public Library of Davenport, Iowa, will actively distribute free desktop security to its members, including Comodo's Firewall Pro.<br /><br />The Davenport Public Library, in its customer outreach, has created a useful CD-ROM that it will distribute for free. </p><p>The CD will include useful software, including Comodo's Firewall Pro, which its members can use on their own personal computers.<br /><br />Firewall Pro continues to outperform its competitors in numerous threat tests. </p><p>In July, it received three media accolades and awards from Computerworld.com, FileCluster.com and <em>Web User </em>magazine.</p><p>It was recently rated NO. 1 in Matousec's leak test of 38 leading firewalls. </p><p>Comodo was the only firewall to pass every leak test and was only one of three to receive an "excellent" rating.<br /><br />"It gives us a great feeling to know that our Firewall Pro is being shared within communities," said Melih Abdulhayoglu, Comodo CEO and chief security architect. "Davenport Public Library has reached out to its members to make sure they are safe online. Many more libraries and community groups are soon to follow."</p>
