Jersey City, N.J. — April 30
Comodo, a global certification authority and provider of identity and trust assurance management solutions, has announced the successful deployment of a new patent-pending technology, EV AUTO-Enhancer – Automatic Deployment and Maintenance Technology.

This technology maximizes the value of using a Comodo EV SSL or EV SGC certificate by automating the deployment and expanding the usability of EV SSL certificates for Windows XP users.

EV AUTO-Enhancer provides two further benefits: It ensures that the EV “green bar” always is seen the first time a user visits your Web site, and it enables the EV “green bar” to be seen even by those users to have disabled Javascript in their browsers.

Web sites of all sizes can benefit significantly from the ease of integration and high level of effectiveness of Comodo’s EV SSL and EV SGC certificates with EV AUTO-Enhancer.

For end-users to instantly see the much-talked-about EV “green bar,” a new EV root certificate for the relevant Certification Authority must be installed in the certificate storage facility of Internet Explorer 7.

EV AUTO-Enhancer automatically installs Comodo’s new EV root certificate into the trusted root store of the user’s browser whenever an https session is initiated.

This process seamlessly is carried out during the SSL handshake with the Web server and is completely transparent to the end-user.
