Committee Adds New Cert for XQuery and XML DB

The XML Technology Certification Committee announced the worldwide release of the XML Master Professional Database Administrator exam, certifying technical professionals in XQuery and XML DB.

The new XML Master Professional Database Administrator certification is designed for database professionals, who must pass the XML Master Basic Exam and the XML Master Professional Database Administrator exam to become certified.

The XML Master Professional Database Administrator Exam is comprised of four sections dealing with Overview; XQuery and XPath; Manipulating XML Data; and Creating XML Schema and Other XML Database Objects. The exam takes 90 minutes, and the passing score is 80 percent. The XML Master Professional Database Administrator exam is available at Prometric’s global network of more than 4,700 test centers.

In conjunction with the announcement, the XML Technology Certification Committee has also announced a name change for the XML Master Professional Certification. The certification will now be known as the XML Master Professional Application Developer Certification.
